Donors who want to contribute to a fund to help rebuild the fire-ravaged Georgia Theatre can now make donations through the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation. The historic Athens music venue was gutted by fire two months ago. Theatre owner Wilmot Greene has been searching for funding for reconstruction efforts. He says the partnership with the Georgia Trust will allow contributors to make tax deductible donations. Greene says he is hoping to re-open the Georgia Theatre on New Year's Eve 2010.
